5 Exposures is a site-specific installation in the main exhibition space of the gallery Bombon projects in Barcelona that that seeks to make visible the possible cracks in our perception between the physical experience of an exhibition and the images derived from it.
It consists in a photographic set, through cut vinyl, paint and carpet, resulting in the making of five photographic prints, presented as art objects in a second room in the gallery.
In it, I have worked with the idea of transforming five images from five previous exhibitions in the gallery – Vessels, by Eva Fàbregas; ORPLID, by Pere Llobera; Chuletas, by Josep Maynou; Not Yet, by Enric Farrés Duran and Refugia, by Rosa Tharrats – into the content of my exhibition. The digital images were reenacted into the physical space through digital production, encoded as anamorphisms which address the unique point of the art photographer who documented them on the first place.
The installation results in a moving image experience that invites the visitors to activate the images with their bodies, reconstructing the steps of the photographer, looking for his singular point of view and experiencing, also, the deformations and dead angles.
